Early Life
Sundstein (N0tail) was born on October 8, 1993, in Denmark to Faroese parents. His grandfather Jógvan Sundstein was a former Faroese prime minister. N0tail started playing video games when he was two years old and he left high school just to dedicate himself to esports.
At only 15 years old he became one of the youngest professional Heroes of Newerth players, playing the role of solo middle back then.
N0tail started by playing random pub games on HoN servers and later on decided to match up with Jascha “NoVa” Markuse and Tal “Fly” Aizik. One of the managers of Fnatic started noticing this young man and took them under his wing as an unofficial side project, and this was the beginning of N0tail’s professional career in esports.

Heroes of Newerth
N0tail started his professional gaming career at the age of 15, he met Jascha “NoVa” Markuse and Tal “Fly” Aizik in-game where they decided to start collaborating and playing together. The team became an unofficial side project of Fnatic manager Danijel “StreeT” Remus. After some changes in the Fnatic Heroes of Newerth roster, N0tail and his team merged with the original Fnatic players Henrik “FreshPro” Hansen and Kalle “Trixi” Saarinen.
N0tail’s new team became successful and started to achieve wins in online tournaments, obtaining their first LAN victory in DreamHack Winter 2011. Along with his team, N0tail was able to take the 1st place victories in four consecutive DreamHack events. After this win, N0tail’s net worth started to grow.
Dota 2
N0tail felt the need to make some changes due to decreasing activity in the professional Heroes of Newerth scene. He then decided to join Fnatic’s European Dota 2 team. With his team, N0tail won the Thor Open LAN on December 9, 2012. The Team was the best until the International 2013, in which they placed 7-8th after losing to team Orange, which turned out to currently be the Fnatic squad.
After many attempts to win first place in the tournament and instead failing and getting placed number 13 and 14 in the International 2014. N0tail left the team and started a new one called “Team Secret” with his friends Fly and Puppey, s4, and Kuroky.
After a good number of wins in five tournaments, Puppey kicked Notail from the team and invited Arteezy in his place, the team started to prepare for the Dota 2 Asia Championships.
N0tail joined Cloud9, replacing Aui_2000. With his new team, they got placed number 9 and12 in the International 2015, this year also was a good year for N0tail’s net worth that is constantly growing.
N0tail and his teammate Fly, which was also kicked from Team Secret, have created (monkey) Business, a team featuring Miracle-, MoonMeander, Cr1t-, Fly, and N0tail. The (monkey) Business proceeded to become OG, and they quickly became the first team to defend a Major title in Dota 2 history after winning the Autumn Major in 2016.
The team also became the first-ever four-time Major champion and the first-ever two times champion of The International event. During The International 2018’s group stage, the team had a slow start, but despite that they defeated PSG.LGD in the best-of-five series 3–2. The next year, the team won The International 2019, making them the first repeat winners of an International.
After that win N0tail was featured in Forbes 30 under 30 categories at the age of 25.
