Axwell, born Axel Christofer Hedfors on December 18, 1977, in Lund, Sweden, showed an interest in music from a young age. At the age of nine, he taught himself how to play the drums. As a teenager, he began making music on his computer, using the moniker Quazar and releasing acid techno tracks.

Producing Career

Axwell started his producing career by remixing songs by various artists. His remixes of Usher’s “Burn,” NERD’s “Maybe,” and Nelly Furtado’s “Promiscuous” gained attention. He also released his own tracks, such as “Lead Guitar” and “No Reason,” in collaboration with Isabel Fructuose as the duo Mambana.
