As an amateur MMA fighter Asakura won his first fight under the Outsider brand of Fighting Network Rings. His amateur career ended up with a record of 6 wins and 1 lose to Takehiro Higuchi.
In 2016, Asakura began his professional career by signing up for DEEP promotion. He won his first professional fight via TKO within 53 seconds in the first round. His second fight was with the Outsider promotion where he won via a TKO in the first round.
